"Gosh, I forgot that this is
tap water," said BebboDenoberto. Bebbo, who
was thirsty, drank left over water from a tea pot that he just used for his
magic show at I Love Indonesia (Aku Cinta Indonesia) without realizing that it
was tap water.
Note: tap water in Semarang city
is not potable water.
On the seventh of October 2011,
an organization that promotes Indonesian culture and product, I Love Indonesia
(Aku Cinta Indonesia), invited Komunitas
Sulap Semarang (Semarang Magic
Community) to perform a magic show from 18:40 to 19:00 at the East Atrium
(in front of Nike store) in Citraland Mall, Semarang, Indonesia.
Bebbo Denoberto represented Semarang Magic Community for approximately ten minutes with his
hilarious magic show to entertain audiences in Citraland Shopping Mall.
Bebbo proudly wore his Batik
shirt (a traditional Indonesian print motifs) and Blangkon (a traditional hat
wear from Central Java, Indonesia) during the magic show performance.
Indonesian traditional music made his magic show livelier. Although the show
venue was small, Bebbo nevertheless successfully stole visitors’ attention.
Magic show began with a flash
transformation of a lighted torch into a metallic cane. The show was followed
with several magic spells that made a teapot to continuously pour water. The
magic show was closed by a mysterious production of a woman bra from an
apparently empty bowl.
We wish Semarang Magic Community can play an important role to assist an
organization such as Aku Cinta Indonesia (I Love Indonesia) to promote the
culture and potentials of Indonesia.
